CBT WITH REBECCA

  ·

I am very lucky to attend attachment based play groups at Mind Mosaic Child & Family Therapies in Inverclyde.

  WHAT IS ATTACHMENT?

Attachment is the bond developed by a baby and their primary care giver from birth and it’s said to play a key role in survival.

The bond of attachment provides the baby with a safe and secure base to return to and aims to keep the primary care giver close. It helps providing emotional regulation which then in turn facilitates self regulation.

The first few years of attachment development are very important for the child and can shape how they develop into adults and influence their relationships with others.

Being emotionally and physically present with your baby in the first 18 months can help them develop a secure attachment style.
