Our Friday Morning Summer Actvity Groups got off to a flying start this morning
Our Wee Minds baby group enjoyed treasure baskets which stimulates learning and development through natural man made materials developing concentration skills and assisting them in making simple choices – this in turn develops a child's confidence and self esteem, a baby's hand/eye co-ordination and the development of fine motor skills are also promoted when using a treasure basket.
They then enjoyed some baby massage concentrating on the legs and feet this week with a focus on sinus's and the digestive system.
First milestones were achieved by two of our babies today each acomplishing a new developmental stage.
Congratulations to both families!!
Their older siblings enjoyed clay modelling and mask making.
Our WEE MINDS groups meet 4 times a week on Wednesdays and Fridays at our child and family therapy base at Ladyburn Business Centre.
Fun attachment based play sessions promoting infant maternal and paternal mental health; early child development and sensory play; the relationship between parent and child; opportunities to meet new parents- for babies and toddlers from birth to 3yrs.
WEE MINDS is fully funded by Cattanach Better Starts Better Futures and classes are free to Inverclyde parents.
