WHEN SEEKING MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

Children and young people's mental health is an important issue - sometimes complex- therefore it is crucial that parents and referrers access the appropriate support delivered by appropriately qualified and highly trained and experienced people. When seeking mental health support or services for your child and family- ask questions around qualifications/ experience of the therapist or worker- and if there is anything you don't understand- ask further questions.

Appropriately qualified therapists, Counsellors and Supervisors can be looked up on professional registers as public information and they will be happy to guide you to where this can be accessed online.
